Benefit claims Consumer issues Debts Employment problems Family and personal matters Housing Immigration Legal matters Tax issues And many others
We are a charity, dependent on a workforce of trained volunteers supported by paid staff. Our core funding comes from Daventry District Council and Northamptonshire County Council. We speak up for change in social policies; from our clients’ experiences we can see where services and policies are failing. We are a member of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, which provides the extensive information system that we use to advise clients and sets standards for advice, training, equal opportunities and accessibility in the bureau. We are also a member of Community Legal Service, a referral system for specialist legal advice. You can find out more about the aims and principles of the CAB service and the work of Daventry & District CAB in our annual report. Contact us for details of how to obtain a copy of the report.
